Passport holders of VISA Exemption country are usually granted 30-day stay permit.

Passport holders of VISA on Arrival country are usually granted 15-day stay permit. From October 2022, they will be extended 15days. So they will be granted 30 days.

In addition, it is possible to apply for 30-day extension of stay at immigration offices in Thailand.

Tourist VISA is TR60 VISA which can be applied for at Thai embassies (consulates) outside of Thailand.

VISA Free is the length of stay that people from the VISA Exemption countries get when they enter Thailand.

In both cases, it is possible to extend the stay 30 days (one time only) after entering Thailand.

In addition, VISA Free or Tourist Visa can be converted in to other type of visas in Thailand.

The scheme was scheduled to be ended on September 30, 2022.
